From July 25 to July 28, 2002 the first Shanghai Commercial Real Estate Exhibition, and the first professional domestic commercial real estate exhibition was held in the Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center. Elites in the industries (business and real estate) focusing on two themes (shop and office buildings) were interpreted, which became a highlight of this exhibition in that year. Over 10 large-scale commercial projects in the Pudong New Area are organized to participate in the Expo. Shanghai Greenland Construction Group, Cheer Group, North Group,Shangfang store and other dozens of real estate developers and enterprises engaged in shop agent, intermediary services, and financial services also participated in the Expo. he Third Shanghai Commercial Real Estate Exhibition held from August 6 to August 9, 2003 is the first real estate investment exhibition after the outbreak of the SARS. It launched a new round of commercial real estate investment upsurge and promoted the joint development of commerce and the real estate. There are nearly 100 commercial projects and the commercial building area reaches nearly 3 million square meters. In four days more than 20,000 people visited. The commercial real estate area in the Third Shanghai Commercial Real Estate Exhibition is 2 million square meters. This exhibition showed the following characteristics: First, commercial real estate along Shanghai and Nanjing crushed into the commercial real estate market in Shanghai. Five large commercial real estate projects in Suzhou participated the exhibition; second, tourist resort commercial property renewed investors’ concerns; third, large commercial real estate projects participated in the exhibition actively, such as 430,000-square meter Xinglida lnternational Square, 100,000-square meter Edmonton International Square and Zhongrong Century Plaza, 28-square meter Wuxi Zhanqian Street, and 120,000-square meter Suzhou Sunshine Landmark. On June 21, 2005, the commercial real estate investment activity opened the Fourth Shanghai Commercial Real Estate Exhibition. On the first day, more than 20 commercial real estate projects invited the investment at the same time, including comprehensive department stores, chain stores, branded monopoly, clothing apparel, household goods, community services, catering and entertainment, financial services, and business office. The exhibition organizer invited more than 200 commercial enterprises to participate in the trade promotion activity. From June 1 to June 4, 2006, nearly 100 commercial projects were exhibited on the Fifth Shanghai Commercial Real Estate Exhibition. The total area of the commercial real estate reached 5 million square meters. It was the most concentrated commercial trading activities held in Shanghai in 2006. The Expo showed: 1. From June 7 to June 10, 2007, the Sixth Shanghai Commercial Real Estate Exhibition attracted more than 40 exhibitors including Shanghai Real Estate, Jing’an Real Estate, and Hongji. A commercial area of 3 million square meters was exhibited. Before the opening of the exhibition, the organizer together with 30 trade associations and 50 portal websites sent the invitations to 300,000 professional audience of the commercial real estate industry chain.
